MLaw Programs

MLAW is training undergraduates in law at UMCP through courses and experiential opportunities taught by faculty from UMB’s Francis King Carey School of Law and from UMCP. A diverse curriculum examines topics like the Supreme Court and top of mind legal issues such as big data and cyberspace. In spring 2016, UMCP is offering an eight-week course focusing on the underlying issues that sparked unrest in Baltimore in 2015. “Freddie Gray’s Baltimore: Past, Present and Moving Forward” is taught by professors from the schools of Law and Social Work at UMB, and professors from UMCP. It was previously offered at UMB in fall 2015. Immensely popular and successful, these MLAW programs are breaking new ground through creative, interdisciplinary learning opportunities drawing on exceptional faculty at both universities.
