Agricultural Services

The University of Maryland College of Agricultural and Natural Resources at College Park, the School of Agriculture and Natural Sciences at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore, and the University of Maryland Carey School of Law in Baltimore are collaborating to better understand the unmet legal needs of Maryland’s agricultural communities and identify strategies to remedy them.

The institutions have joined forces to conduct an extensive legal needs assessment. They are reaching out to leaders in agricultural organizations across the state and surveying farm families to understand their most pressing legal needs. This assessment will form the basis of a detailed plan to better serve Maryland’s rural communities and strengthen agriculture across the state.
