UMB was founded in 1807. Today, this 71-acre complex houses the state’s only public academic health, law, and human services university. Home of the UM BioPark, UMB’s sponsored research totaled $529 million in Fiscal Year 2012.
UMCP, located just outside Washington, D.C., was founded in 1856 as a private agricultural college and now has grown to include 12 colleges and schools offering more than 200 academic degrees to 37,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
