Agricultural Services

The University of Maryland College of Agricultural and Natural Resources at College Park, School of Agriculture and Natural Sciences at University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and University of Maryland Carey School of Law are collaborating to better understand the unmet legal needs of Maryland’s agricultural communities, and identify strategies to remedy them. The institutions have joined forces to conduct an extensive legal needs assessment.

A new seed grant program in complex therapeutics is growing out of the two universities’ successful seed grant program in basic and translational research. The seed grant program has resulted in more than $6 million in joint research awards.

New Educational Offerings Between UMCP and UMB

One of the most exciting parts of the joint venture is developing new educational offerings where, for instance, UMCP undergraduates are doing research with top UMB faculty and UMB graduate students are training in the labs of top UMCP faculty.
