Programming offered by UMSOM. Participation is restricted to UM Scholars at the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and MDH. Participation is by invitation and limited.

Each year, the UMSOM Office of Student Research (OSR) offers additional programming that is available to students in MPower-funded UM Scholars program.

Events and programming often center on clinical, translational, biomedical, and population research – particularly for medical students, however, students from Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health and other disciplines may find the programming valuable or relevant to their interest and project focus.

Students in programs offered by Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and MDH, and their mentors will receive an invitation to participate in at least three main events, detailed below.  Participation is strongly encouraged when programming aligns with mentor and student’s interests, goals, and research focus.

Mentors are encouraged to review available opportunities with their students and determine whether attendance is appropriate.  Participation is at the mentor’s discretion.
