Mission: To create develop degree and credential programs in high-impact fields and encourage the development and location of university-created or sponsored technology companies in Prince George’s County.

 

About

Established by law in 2016, UMCEED increases workforce readiness by creating degree and credential programs in high-impact fields such as neuroscience, virtual and augmented reality, biomedical devices, data analytics, cybersecurity, quantum technologies, advanced data computing, and information technologies.

UMCEED also encourages the development and location of university-created or -sponsored technology companies in Prince George’s County through the Discovery Fund and the Quantum Startup Foundry.
