MPower Professor in the Department of Anthropology and the Department of African American Studies, Joseph Richardson’s piece “Arms and the Men,” was showcased in Vital City’s fifth issue, “Nuts and Bolts: Solving Gun Cases” last month. In the feature, Richardson shares the experiences that gave him personal insight into the focus of his research: structural violence, interpersonal violence and trauma among Black boys and young Black men.
